1. First things first, you need to moisturize your skin. Even if you have oily skin you need to Moisturized. For oily skin people they normally stay away from moisturizing their skin because they already have oily skin but your skin will overproduce oil if you’re not giving it the moisture that it needs.Ponds is my go to Moisturizer you can get it at any drugstore.

When I first started doing make up I had no clue that I needed to moisturize and prime

My face before putting on foundation. But the moisturizer helps moisturize your skin and the primer helps to create a barrier between your skin and the foundation so it doesn’t seep into fine lines and pores in your face also protecting your skin from the foundation as well as helps your foundation last throughout the day.

2. Now let’s talk about the foundation for your skin type. If you have oily skin and you get a foundation for dry skin your face is going to look more oily. And if you have dry skin and you get a oily foundation it’s going to make your skin look dry, so it’s very important to know which skin type you have and which foundation accommodates for that skin type.
